Einstein's Final Project
About Our Game
The story of our game is that the player is an explorer (like Indiana Jones) who is exploring and accidentally triggers a curse. They must escape and try to collect treasure along the way before the dangers or the curse kill them.

Our first build was a little rough. When both Rohith and I merged our files on our Git repo, our prefabs were erased. Also, Rohith had an asset that was too large to be allowable on Git. After these initial hurdles, we decided to attempt to figure out Unity's Online Collab feature for the next build. This week, I created a player movement script, which included text UIs for instructions, timers, and score, entry/exit tracking, and collectible/score counting. Rohith created three level designs and found an asset for adding a humanoid avatar with a third person camera. That asset was the asset too large to include on Git. Rohith also added the script for switching scenes and adjusted timers and collectibles for each level, as well as began work on a menu for starting and selecting the level. Hampton was very swamped with work, so he just began brainstorming what level dangers he would like to add in the future for each different level. Our first build isn't totally where we wanted it to be, but, given the issues we have faced in collaboration over the last week, I think it is off to a decent start.
Below is Hampton's document detailing his plans for the level dangers.

With our first build behind us, we feel pretty good about the project. We are beginning planning for the next build. For the next build, I will work to make the text UIs look better and finish placing collectibles. Rohith will continue with level design and troubleshoot our WebGL issue of our player character appearing oddly in the WebGL build of the game. Hampton will make progress with the level dangers, which should each be different. I believe these goals are attainable. We are of course waiting for feedback from the first build, when we will update our list of things to do next week based on the feedback we get. I will put the updates down below, so as to have documented the most recent set of goals for each of us to accomplish.

With our second build due tonight, we are taking the feedback from our classmates last week and continuing to improve our game. Rohith has been working to fix level design errors as well as coloring issues and other general troubleshooting. Hampton has been working on the level dangers, which will be implemented in the build tonight. I added an instructions button on the main menu and edited some of the other menu/UI features. The project is going well, we are happy with what we have! The feedback from last week was very good and gave us a great idea of where to go for the final game.

Our final build is up today and I am very happy with what we have accomplished. Hampton's level dangers, Rohith's fixed level design, and my added sounds have really pulled the game together into a cohesive, fun, and challenging game. If we had more time, it would have been better, for sure, but given what we had, I think we did a great job. I am very glad I added in the sounds for the final build, they really added a lot to the game in a way I didn't expect. The dangers are fun and challenging and I am also glad Hampton was able to get those operational in time. Good job, Team Einstein!
